Phytoxigene’s DinoDTec kit is designed for the screening of environmental samples to identify potential blooms of PSP (paralytic shellfish poisoning) from saxitoxin producing dinoflagellates. Detection and quantification of sxtA in HAB events has been correlated with saxitoxin uptake in shellfish.
